https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=768714 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=768714#c40 --- Comment #40 from Darin Perusich <darin@darins.net> 2013-08-16 14:10:18 UTC --- Not only does "yast lan" call "ethtool -e", but so does "yast iscsi-client", continually as you bounce around the interface to connect to or discover targets. Can someone tell me why yast needs to perform an eeprom-dump? The only workarounds for yast to not perform the eeprom-dump I've come up with are: 1) move ethtool out of the way and make it a script which just does "exit 0", not ideal. 2) set supports-eeprom-access: no for the tg3 interfaces. I'd prefer to do this but I haven't figured out how to use ethtool to set this, if anyone knows how I'd appreciate the info. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
