There is the loss of local conversion of charsets in this product. Relying on the charset encoding for text files has always been problematic, particularly for Asian users who often use 3 or morecharacter sets on a regular basis. Due to many issues in charset conversion and client-server-communication, the author removed support for all local charsets, except ASCII and UTF-8. Please add the information to the release notes, that there is no longer support to print from old clients (10.x, 9.x) to SUSE 11.0 textfiles with a different charset beside ASCII or UTF-8. Please note that this doesn't affect printing of PDF nor PS nor any other files then textfiles. The work-around to print textfiles in local charset is to convert the file before sending print job to cups-1.3.x server.
