!!PCI Soundcards installed in the system

=========================================================================
The sound does work sometimes, I usually use XEN. On start up it is a gnome
environment, sometime the sound works sometimes it does not, the same in KDE.
However, most of the time in KDE, the system reports the the "the listed Intel
sound" not working falling back to default, then the sound works sometimes as
well.
Sometimes the sound does not work at all; that is the problem the Unix is
useless with out reliable sound.
==================================================
So... The problem you face looks like a typical one regarding the KDE sound
subsystem. It's likely a conflict with pulseaudio.
As a workaround, try the following:
- Remove libflashsupport package
- Remove pulseaudio package
If you get any dependency problem, at least, try to uninstall pulseaudio.rpm
and pulseaudio-module-x11.rpm but keep libpulse*.rpm
- Make sure you have phonon-backend-xine package installed
- Remove phonon-backend-gstreamer-0_10 package
Then re-login.
===================================================
if this is so how do i know for sure. how do i do what you suggest and how do i
undo what you suggest if necessary.

I don't know how to do any of this sorry; but I can follow direction if they
are clear.

i only want to do what is necessary for my system.

"This is why the prompt tests by bug reporters are vital."
What does that mean exactly?
I am not using headphones and have no control over that.
Two speakers are built into the monitor.
====================================================
I don't see that there is any progress on fixing this problem at all.
