https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=254571 Summary: userid < 1000 --- no shutdown possible, Product: openSUSE 10.2 Version: Final Platform: i386 OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: KDE AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: thomas.berger@moorhexebg.de QAContact: qa@suse.de Dear SUSE-team! Sorry, my English is terrible ;-( I am using 10.2 and kde. It is a new installation, no update from 10.1. or other versions. If the uid < 1000 it isn't possible to change user or to shutdown in kde (.... and kdm doesn't show username or icon, but this is no "problem") I was testing all displaymangers, all shows the same problem with shutdown or changing the current user. A sudo-configuration for user with uid < 1000 which "allows" /sbin/halt for this user don't repair the shutdown-problem. If you are using the kde-konsole and give a nice "init 0" the system hangs on "kdm shut down"... I hope you understand my "denglish" ... SORRY! I don't understand the log-files, so I can't help you...
