Ok. Is this with the NVidia driver?
In that case, there is not much we can do, since the NVidia drivers _should_ be
able to bring the card / backlight back (In fact many machines with NVidia
cards only resume with the nvidia driver).
I am at a loss why it worked (as in "did suspend without S2RAM_OPTS") before,
maybe a BIOS update changed the DMI strings...
So unfortunately it looks like there is not much I can do for you, sorry. A few
things that might be worth trying are:
- try a newer version of the NVidia driver
- blacklist the intel-agp (or whatever the chipset specific AGP module is), so
that the NVidia-built-in AGP support is used. This sometimes solves suspend
problems, too, but usually these are hard lockups and not "only"
backlight-stays-off issues.
