http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=960360 Bug ID: 960360 Summary: synclient cannot turn off touchpad Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE Distribution Version: Leap 42.1 Hardware: x86-64 OS: openSUSE 42.1 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Other Assignee: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com Reporter: stanakopita@openmailbox.org QA Contact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:43.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/43.0 Build Identifier: On a dell inspiron 13 7000, I had set the touchpad config (in KDE control module) to turn the touchpad off whenever an external mouse is connected. However, this didn't seem to have an effect despite receiving a notification saying "Touchpad was disabled because a mouse was plugged in.". Initially submitted this as a question in the forums where it was suggested I try the "synclient" command to manually turn off the touchpad: https://forums.opensuse.org/showthread.php/512298-Disable-Dell-touchpad-on-e... Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Run synclient TouchpadOff=1 Actual Results: Touchpad still works. Expected Results: Touchpad should turn off. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
