I get a similar problem trying to setup my Epson Perfection 1640SU SCSI scanner
on openUSE 12.2 Beta2 x86_64 using iscan free. No scanner found in YaST
scanner.
However,
lscsci
[11:0:2:0] process EPSON Perfection1640 1.03 -
cat /proc/scsi/scsi
Host: scsi11 Channel: 00 Id: 02 Lun: 00
Vendor: EPSON Model: Perfection1640 Rev: 1.03
Type: Processor ANSI SCSI revision: 02
while
scanimage -L
No scanners were identified.
xsane
No device available
sane-find-scanner
don't find any scanner.
(this works well using openSUSE 12.1/Tumbleweed on the same hardware)
