https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=372729 Summary: xvkbd cannot be closed, should not be launched by default Product: openSUSE 11.0 Version: Alpha 3 Platform: i386 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.0 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Live Medium AssignedTo: nc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: probono@myrealbox.com QAContact: coolo@novell.com Found By: Beta-Customer On the live images, a virtual on-screen keyboard is opened all the time. Not only is this very annoying, it is also not possible to close this (for most users) useless on-screen keyboard with the "X" symbol. The only way I have found to get rid of it is to kill the process xvkbd (which is something the average user won't do). Please remove the process xvkbd from the automatically started processes. You could also check whether a kernel option "xvkbd" is set and display it only then, so that the (few) people who want it (e.g., tablet PC users) can still have it if they want to. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
