Same problem here. Checked with ext3, but the error remains.
The popup window appears at the end of "Installation durchführen" ==
"installing" or similar (after "Installation Overview") just before the
automatic reboot.
On console 1, one can read like this:
============================================================================
*** Starting YaST2 ***
error: cannot open Packages index using db3 - No such file or directory (2)
sh: Zeile 1: 29787 Fertig cat /etc/grub.conf
29788 Speicherzugriffsfehler (Speicherabzug geschrieben) | /usr/sbin/grub
--device-map=/boot/grub/device.map --batch > /var/log/YaST2/y2log_bootloader
2>&1
============================================================================
The log file /var/log/YaST2/y2log_bootloader is not written in that stage, and
will be generated as a new and empty file on reboot.
On a different console (don't remember which one) similar error message is
given in english. I will check, if a core file exists, if you are interested in
it.
Anyway - it looks like the boot loader is written successfully inspite of the
segfault of grub.
