--- Comment #12 from Jens Uhlenbrock
I am using KDE 4.1.3 packages. After using xrandr --output DVI-I_1/analog --mode 1680x1050 the desktop is again wider than the screen.
So press the autoadjust button of your monitor?
Well, I already did a few times but this does not resolve the issue. The issue is that the screen is supposed to be able to handel 1680x1050 output. But when I use this option the desktop is too large as if there were too many pixels for my screen to display. The desktop starts to the left way off my screen and ends all the way to the right of my screen. When I push the autoadjust button, all it does is to move the desktop around when it would actually have to "shrink" it.
1400x1050 is specified as maximum resolution instead of 1680x1050. Looks like you did this by intention.
Yes, I did. As I've written earlier I wanted to use my desktop and in order to do so I need to see it completely on my screen. So I had to use a lower resolution. So I told sax2 to set it to 1400x1050. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
