Live CD hangs as follows: I have a perfectly good Live CD. (md5sum checks out) but The LIVE CD hangs with... Waiting for CD/DVD drive to apper... Waiting for USB devices to settle... Failed to detect CD/DVD or USB drive! reboot exception error consoles at Alt-F3/F4 rebbot exception: reboot in 120 seconds. The Fkeys do not work. I am running an AMD5200 dual-core chip It has only 4 Sata connectors and 8 USB ports..Standard SB600. OpenSuse 11.0 Live-CD worked fine. This is not exactly new hardware. My CD/DVD drive is not being recognized while testing 11.1 RC-1. I have a Lite-on CD/DVD LightScribe model. This is a PATA device installed as /dev/hb and placed on the PATA connecter of the SB600 setup...essentially the kernel is not recognizing the CD/DVD drive.This is a Gigabyte model GA-MA790X-DS4 model with an SB600. Has the driver changed in the new Kernel??Once the system is installed it appears PATA devices are not recognized on the SB600.
