http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=567997 http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=567997#c0 Summary: Profile switching should launch "netconfig update" when restoring the "network" service Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.2 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.2 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Other AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: llevrel@yahoo.fr QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; en-US; rv:1.9.1.6) Gecko/20091210 SUSE/2.0.1-1.2 Firefox/3.5 SeaMonkey/2.0.1 I use SCPM to maintain various configurations of my laptop. SCPM configuration in Yast has "network" active, which resource group includes the "network" service and file /etc/sysconfig/network/config. When switching profiles (at boot or using sumf, no matter) the latter file is correctly restored but /etc/resolv.conf remains untouched. Launching "sudo /sbin/netconfig update" does the trick. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Activate the "network" resource group in SCPM config in Yast. 2. Set up two profiles with /etc/sysconfig/network/config differing by their NETCONFIG_DNS_STATIC_SERVERS line. 3. Switch profiles. /etc/resolv.conf is not updated. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
