I tested openSUSE 11.0 Gnome Live DVD (32-bit) and the adjustment of LCD
brightness worked just fine but with 11.1 RC1 (installed system, 64-bit) it
does not work.
I tried newer version of HAL (0.5.12-30.3), but that did not help and now that
I've tested the 11.0 live --> the problem has to be somewhere else.
I've tested the both desktops, Gnome and KDE 4.1 with the same result. I also
tested kpowersave and it tells that the brightness control is not supported.
I also tested the lshal -m command as described in bug 445428 and tried
brightness buttons --> seems to get the signal.
What information do you need?
