In kernel, acer-wmi and acer_wmi are handled equally. In the kernel, the dash
letters in a module name are converted with underscores automatically. This is
because the kernel needs to handle the name strings as a part of variable name
in C syntax.
Thus, when you look at lsmod output, you'll see all modules are represented
with underscores.
OTOH, the blacklist handling is done in user-space module-init-tools. If they
aren't handled equivalently, it should be a bug in module-init-tools. Please
file another bug report.
