Thanks a lot for the debugging so far. The patch essentially excludes anonymous
memory from dirtyable memory. I assume that your system is using a lot of
anonymous memory compared to page cache and so the writeback needed to write
the system image is throttled and cannot do forward progress. Please note that
I have no idea how userspace hibernation works so this might be completely
incorrect assumption.
Btw. what does the following say?
grep . /proc/sys/vm/dirty_*
Also, could you take a snapshot of /proc/meminfo and /proc/vmstat right before
you try to hibernate?
