Let me chime in, I can confirm the bug also. After encouraging words on the
opensuse-kde mailing list from Raymond Wooninck, I think we located the
culprit: it is xfreerdp, what is used by xrdp 4.11 to establish the connection.
Trying from konsole (after looking at
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=322361), I typically get
---snip---
$ xfreerdp tstsrv.ourdomain.ufz.de -d OURDOMAIN.ufz.de -u wflamme
connected to tstsrv.ourdomain.ufz.de:3389
Password:
SSL_read: Failure in SSL library (protocol error?)
Authentication failure, check credentials.
If credentials are valid, the NTLMSSP implementation may be to blame.
---pins---
And I am sure I did not enter wrong credentials so often ;-)
I hope that helps to eliminate this bug.
BTW, remmina and even kdrc 4.10 work fine (I install 4.10 and 4.11 to and fro
by "zypper in krdc-4.11.0-17.1" (from K:R:411) and "zypper in --oldpackage
krdc-4.10.5-1.92.3" (from update channel).
Regards,
Werner
