https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=394678 Summary: Bad printing quality in OpenOffice.org Product: openSUSE 11.0 Version: Factory Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: OpenOffice.org AssignedTo: eward@novell.com ReportedBy: cornelis@solcon.nl QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- When I print a document with Times New Roman, thorndale, arial, and some other truetype fonts, the fonts in the printed document are to fat (a litte bold). The problem does not exist when I print a document with Type1 fonts. I have printed a document with times new roman in firefox and there the fonts were fine. Also, in opensuse 10.3 the fonts were fine and there was no problem. A workaround is to export the document to PDF and print the pdf with KPDF. Then the fonts are good. When I print a document to a file and I open it with kghostview, the fonts are too fat. This problem means that directly printing from openoffice is unusable. The fonts are readable, but the quality is to bad to present the printed documents to others. I am using: - factory beta3plus (latest update may 26) - HP Deskjet 940c with hpijs, configured with yast. This is a inktjet printer. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
