On the KDE4 splash screen, I can quickly see the KDE gear icon blinking a few times, and then I'm back to the VT console. Deleting all my personal KDE files and directories (i.e. ~/.kde, ~/.kde4, ...) didn't help. My ~/.xsession-errors logfile (attached) seems to reveal a problem with kded and/or the D-bus subsystem as well as other KDE4 applications segfaulting. Most of my KDE4 packages are versioned 3.96.3-2. I didn't have this problem before Dec. 6 and openSUSE 11.0 Alpha0. I can provide you more informations at your convenience.
