The problem is certain extensions cause the extension prefs tool (gnome-shell-extension-prefs) to crash. It hasn't been easy to get a lot of info, but there is extensive talk on the gnome-shell mailing list which all points the finger at it being a suse specific issue. I have doccumented this on the forums here: http://forums.opensuse.org/english/get-technical-help-here/pre-release-beta/... I also included links to the mailing-list discussion on gnome-shell in that forum post. There is a lot of different technical info decribed on the mailing lists, so hopefully that will help. I just wanted to get this bug open finally. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. install infringing extension from e.g.o such as Dash To Dock: https://extensions.gnome.org/extension/307/dash-to-dock/ 2. Alt+F2 and run gnome-shell-extension-prefs 3. Navigate drop-down menu to Dash to Dock and watch it crash. Actual Results: As soon as selecting the extension it crashes the prefs tool, trying to open it from terminal results in the same. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
