Just to add my case here, I have very similar messages than those brought
forward in #26 and #64.
Symptoms are the same: X is frozen, no response to keyboard events (CTRL+ALT+F1
or whatever), system is only accessible from the outside.
When logged in through the network, I have noticed that there is no CPU
activity worth mentioning, so if this is an infinite loop, it does not run
continuously.
I noticed that similar freezes often occur when using LibreOffice Impress or
Draw. There definitely seem to be a correlation here. On average I'd say that
similar freezes occur once every few days to a week.
