http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=604028 http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=604028#c0 Summary: yast sometimes does not start Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.2 Version: Final Platform: Other OS/Version: openSUSE 11.2 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: YaST2 AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: benderamp@gmail.com QAContact: jsrain@novell.com Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (compatible; Konqueror/4.4; Linux) KHTML/4.4.2 (like Gecko) SUSE Yast sometimes (enough often to become annoying) does not start. Just type yast in krunner, press enter, enter root password to the popup dialog and wait forever. System process do not show it. Also tried to run it from konsole with "kdesu yast" - it asks root password and also nothing happens - terminal does not show any log (except from kdesu) - ksysmonitor shows yast2 process at this time until I press ctrl+c in the terminal. Most times this happens after I start/close yast several times, but this last time this happened just after rebooting the system. Only login/logout helps (or probably even reboot required - I usually do not logoff to kdm).
