maybe related, maybe not, I don't know. But involving lvmetad, again ...
In a new Xen, hvm DomU, installed from the openSUSE 13.2 installer iso,
uname -r
3.16.7-7-default
I've made some changes to kernel config, and need to update grub.
When I do I get a complaint, now, about lvmetad
grub2-mkconfig -o /boot/grub2/grub.cfg
Generating grub configuration file ...
Found theme: /boot/grub2/themes/openSUSE/theme.txt
Found linux image: /boot/vmlinuz-3.16.7-7-default
Found initrd image: /boot/initrd-3.16.7-7-default
WARNING: lvmetad is running but disabled. Restart lvmetad before
enabling it!

Checking the status of services
systemctl list-unit-files | grep lvm
lvm2-lvmetad.service enabled
lvm2-monitor.service disabled
lvm2-lvmetad.socket enabled
and
grep "use_lvmetad =" /etc/lvm/lvm.conf
use_lvmetad = 0
I've changed none of the defaults, settings or services.
Is the WARNING a problem that needs to be fixed?
What's the reason for the complaint in the 1st place?
For an HVM DomU what are SUPPOSED to be the lvm*.service states, and the value
of use_lvmetad?
