A character special device is created, the properties of which are major 189 minor 258 04da:2374 I can access the camera, can read files, can download files, but I cannot delete them. (The write protection of the SD card is not active, only to make sure). This behaviour is similar in openSUSE 10.3 (from where the messages and the ID's stem as listed above) and in opneSUSE 11.1. I can provide similar information from the 11.1 on request. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Attach the camera 2. Wait until it is detected 3.
