Sorry, I meant not having control over which version and from which repository
the package is installed.
Yast2-ncurses still has this functionality, zypper has the ability to use a
specific repository.
The missing function is the equivalent of, in ncurses, F6 > versions then tab
to required version and press space to select the version you wish to install.
See snapshots below. In the box at the lower section of the window, where the
full description is the default display, there are 6 tabs in a row, the 4th tab
from the left is marked Versions and can also be selected by the shortcut
keystrokes "alt v".
You will notice this listview display has 5 columns that are headed:- Version,
Arch., Product, Repository and URL. These 5 columns used to be populated by
information from the package selected in display above.
Check out bug https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=370313 to see the
reason why I and others really need control over versions, in fact a rollback
function, maybe from a backup database would be good.

I can't reproduce this.
