It's only part of the fix. The soft lockups are prevented by d8422ba334f (btrfs: backref: Fix soft lockup in __merge_refs function).

Sure, but that doesn't work because a "snapper cleanup number" then says "quota not working (preparing quota failed)". I had to manually assign the correct qgroup to the snapshot subvolumes already taken without an qgroup. snapper only did this automatically for the first snapshot without an qgroup.
