Michael: If it helps, when setting partitioning params during BOTH installs, I
selected "custom" partitioning and, in the Bootloader section did the
following:
1. Only tick "Boot from Root Partition", where specifying location of loader;
2. In "Bootloader Options", untick "Set Active Flag in Partition Table ...",
and untick "Write Geeric Boot Code to MBR". I use a paid-for boot loader
instead called OSL2000, to handle my multiboot requirements.
I have always done these same selections for years in maybe 40-50 installs
without problem.
