https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=215170 Summary: Using custom partitioning, the user is not warned about too small root partition size for installation Product: SUSE Linux 10.1 Version: Final Platform: All OS/Version: SuSE Linux 10.1 Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: Installation AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: knocte@gmail.com QAContact: jsrain@novell.com I have just installed a SUSE Linux 10.1 (DVD9) and I selected custom partitioning. I created a partition for the mount point "/" too small, so when the system got installed and the computer rebooted, GDM didn't start and pursuing a 'df' command I found out that the root partition was full (100%). The installation should try to guess the size needed for installation, depending on the packages that the user selects, and warn him/her if it is too small. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
