https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=220172 Summary: YaST2 -- System Restoration Product: SUSE Linux 10.1 Version: Final Platform: x86 OS/Version: SuSE Linux 10.1 Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: Basesystem AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: gregwallace@fastmail.fm QAContact: qa@suse.de This function does not work at all. When I point to a backup archive, it eventually comes back with the expected screen with the heading "Archive Contents", but there is nothing there. I have tried this against 2 separate backup files with the same results. Both files are roughtly 7 GB in size, so I know there's something in there. The last time I used this function was in SuSE Linux Professional 8.1. Then, the same screen came up with a list of all packages with a box next to them for you to select which one to restore. Also, at the top, there was a place to check something like "Other files". If you checked that and proceeded, it would come back with a list of all directories and sub-directories in the archive. You could then check the ones you wanted to restore. I don't know what's happened to this utility since 8.1, but it doesn't seem have any usefullness whatsoever the way it's working on my system.
