toma@linux-k20m:~> arch
x86_64
toma@linux-k20m:~> uname -m
x86_64
My system runs, but it is still a bit broken. It could not find the kde3 64 bit
libs, so I added that to the ld.so.conf, but when i now try to install stuff,
it assumes 32 bit packages is what i want. So I put the right arch in
/etc/zypp/zypp.conf, but installing 64 bit versions renders warnings like
linux-k20m:/etc/zypp # zypper install --force mpg123
Reading installed packages...
The following NEW packages are going to be installed:
libaudio2 mpg123
Overall download size: 282.0 K. After the operation, additional 860.0 K will
be used.
Continue? [YES/no]:

package libaudio2-1.9.1-0.pm.2 is intended for a x86_64 architecture
could it be that i'm running a 32 bit kernel suddenly?
kernel-default-2.6.25.16-0.1
Linux linux-k20m 2.6.25.16-0.1-default #1 SMP 2008-08-21 00:34:25 +0200 i686
athlon i386 GNU/Linux
maybe that caused the glibc 32 pull in? If so, i can not remember how that
happened. I love to get my machine back on track though ;-)
