http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=519301 Summary: Auto fs expects /sbin/mount.smbfs but openSUSE has /sbin/mount.cifs Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.1 Version: Final Platform: i586 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.1 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Other AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: jordi@grn.es QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; ca; rv:1.9.0.11) Gecko/2009060200 SUSE/3.0.11-0.1.1 Firefox/3.0.11 The automounter won't mount any smb share atomatically because /sbin/mount.smbfs doesn't exist in the filesystem tree. I've solved it doing a symlink: # ln -s /sbin/mount.cifs /sbin/mount.smbfs Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Define a samba share 2. Define automount parameters at /etc/auto.samba 3. Include /etc/auto.samba definition in /etc/auto.master Actual Results: The result is a samba share isn't automounted, the command autofs v5 tries to execute /sbin/mount.smbfs doesn't exist. Expected Results: Expected results are the samba share gets automounted whenever requested. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
