Hi
unfortunately, this bug also occurs on some different hardware: a dell 2950 III
server, without any additional lsi-raid-card installed.
This 2950-server has an embedded dell perc6i raid-controller (as the other
servers also), using the lsi megaSAS raid-driver, and two onboard broadcom
network cards (again as the other servers also).
There are no additional cards installed other than that. The server is running
the latest openSUSE 11.0 x86_64 (any updates available installed), having two
quadcore intel Xeon E5410 CPUs, and 8 GB Ram.
Again, the error message is just the same as for the other servers... this time
it hangs after initializing the network cards (i have to do more thoroughly
debugging to isolate the driver which causes the hang, as this server is
located in a different physical location which makes things harder :-)
I hope, this will help to isolate and fix the problem, as i can not imagine
that i do own three defective servers...
regards
Stefan Schüffler
