--- Comment #1 from Arvin Schnell ---
RAID0 does not have a parity algorithm and I also cannot set it in YaST.
Compare the content of /proc/mdstat for RAID0 and RAID6:
~> cat raid0.txt
Personalities : [raid0]
md127 : active raid0 sdb4[3] sdb3[2] sdb2[1] sdb1[0]
20995968 blocks super 1.0 32k chunks
~> cat raid6.txt
Personalities : [raid0] [raid6] [raid5] [raid4]
md0 : active raid6 sdb4[3] sdb3[2] sdb2[1] sdb1[0]
10487552 blocks super 1.0 level 6, 128k chunk, algorithm 0 [4/4] [UUUU]
[>....................] resync = 0.5% (27768/5243776) finish=59.4min
speed=1461K/sec
bitmap: 1/1 pages [4KB], 65536KB chunk
Where didn't you touch the parity algorithm (mdadm or YaST)? In YaST
I don't get the combobox for RAID0.
Whether empty fields should be shown or hidden in the UI is AFAIR a
controversial topic among UI experts. One argument against hiding
is that people who search for it cannot find it.
