OK, then the next step is to enable PulseAudio again (setup-pulseaudio
--enable) and retest. Also make sure that alsa-plugins-pulse package is
installed, and the environment variable $ALSA_CONFIG_PATH is set to
/etc/alsa-pulse.conf.
Then remove once ~/.config/pulse/*, and restart.
If the problem is seen again, you can try to restart PA with a verbose log.
For that, disable autospawn in /etc/pulse/client.conf (set autosspawn=no).
Then kill pulseaudio on a terminal, restart it manually with -v options (and
some others if you want),
% pulseaudio -k; pulseaudio -vvv
Save the output to a file, and attach to bugzilla for further analysis.
