Steffen, sorry about late response. It somehow didn't get assigned to me. Can
you please do the following?
1. boot SL103 installation media
2. after installation system is loaded press "ctrl-alt-f9", this will give you
a root shell.
3. plug in a usb disk and mount it or mount PATA harddisk which is accessible
under /mnt by running "mount /dev/sdXP /mnt" where X is the device number of
the device to mount and P is the partition number. You can find out which is
mapped to which device by looking at "/var/log/boot.msg" and dmesg result. You
need to execute "modprobe ext3" if you're gonna mount a ext3 filesystem.
4. Execute the following commands.
# hwinfo --all > /mnt/hwinfo.log
# cp /var/log/boot.msg /mnt
# dmesg > /var/log/dmesg.log
5. Reboot into working system and post the above three files.
Thanks. I'm lowering priority to P2 and severity to Critical. A bug against a
release product can't be a blocker bug by definition.
