(II) evaluating device (Keyboard[0])
(II) XINPUT: Adding extended input device "Keyboard[0]" (type: KEYBOARD)
So you even cannot reproduce the issue when using /etc/X11/xorg.conf.install
(xorg.conf from installation) and running /usr/bin/setxkbmap -layout us -model
macintosh.
Maybe you can start a xterm during installation (Ctrl-Alt-Shift-x) and save the
result of 'xkbcomp :0 result.xkb', so I can compare it with the result of
'xkbcomp :0 result.xkb' after installation. But I'm afraid these will be the
same.
