Sorry for delay in this bug. There were some higher priority requests.
This bug is duplicate of an L3 accident reported for SLES11SP3. I'm copying my
statement even here to make it publicly available.
Conclusion is that AutoYaST driven installation behaves same as normal one. It
means that no custom network configuration is stored / generated if no running
network is detected. According y2log-1:
2014-02-04 18:09:01 <1> linux(2955) [YCP] NetworkService.ycp:141 Network is not
running ...
2014-02-04 18:09:01 <1> linux(2955) [YCP] NetworkService.ycp:153 Network is not
running ...
First line is check for IPv4 and second for IPv6 aware network.
So, in this particular case the configuration is ignored. Please note that this
is a feature. You can workaround it by enabling network. E.g. providing
AutoYaST profile via network.
