Does 'mount' command print any error message if you try to mount a cd/dvd?
It depends. If I would type faster than automount (?) works -- no. If slower, it shows error that this drive is already mounted. macias@flatline:/var/log> hwinfo --cdrom 19: SCSI 100.0: 10602 CD-ROM (DVD) [Created at block.237] UDI: /org/freedesktop/Hal/devices/storage_model_DVD_ROM_GDR8082N Unique ID: twPO.tWQ_nD+xXzE Parent ID: w7Y8.xE5WkOd6LU0 SysFS ID: /block/sr0 SysFS BusID: 1:0:0:0 SysFS Device Link: /devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:1f.2/host1/target1:0:0/1:0:0:0 Hardware Class: cdrom Model: "HL-DT-ST DVD-ROM GDR8082N" Vendor: "HL-DT-ST" Device: "DVD-ROM GDR8082N" Revision: "0106" Driver: "ata_piix", "sr" Driver Modules: "ata_piix" Device File: /dev/sr0 (/dev/sg1) Device Files: /dev/sr0, /dev/scd0, /dev/disk/by-path/pci-0000:00:1f.2-scsi-1:0:0:0, /dev/cdrom, /dev/dvd Device Number: block 11:0 (char 21:1) Features: DVD Drive status: no medium Config Status: cfg=no, avail=yes, need=no, active=unknown Attached to: #13 (IDE interface) Drive Speed: 24 -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
