It works well when the card is present during the boot process. When I pug-in this card when the computer is working it does not work. I have GNOME 3 with workspaces only enabled on the primary screen. When I set the additional display as the primary one and then plug it out, the other display becomes the primary one, but some of its regions flicker or fail to redraw, and its background turns blue (see the attached screenshot). The same happens when I set the laptop display as the primary one and close the lid. After pressing [ctrl]+[alt]+[F4] and logging in I am not able to start X using either "startx" or "gdm3 restart" (or start) (which reports an error (command not found), "/etc/init.d/gdm3 start" does not work either). Removing the X-org-lock and starting X in a new display-session ("startx -- :1") ends up with the same result: a black screen. I will try to update the bug with the error code that X gives. Reproducible: Sometimes Steps to Reproduce: 1. Suspend to disk ([Alt]+ "Power off"; 2. Make the laptop wake from hibernate. 3. Actual Results: Most of the times the laptop normally resumes, sometimes X fails to start repeatedly, until reboot. Expected Results: X fails to start Laptop is a Dell Studio with three partitions: root, home and Windows 7. Additional information is to be found in the attachment. openSUSE 13.1 with all recent updates installed.
