Hello,
When creating a package description for a SuSE 8.1 repository using the create_package_descr script for that version (in autoyast-2.6.42), I'm getting a lot of warning messages with the following text:
"only V3 signatures can be verified, skipping V4 signature"
Somebody knows what if the cause of that message, how to fix it and if
The estrange behaviour is that this happens with SuSE 8.1 packages (and 8.1 < 9.0), installed in the server copying the distribution DVD. Are the RPMs of the SuSE 8.1 DVD signed with V3 or V4 or other? Can I check (with a tool, maybe) what kind of signature an .rpm is using? ------ Fermín -----Mensaje original----- De: Anas Nashif [mailto:nashif@suse.de] Enviado el: viernes, 16 de enero de 2004 2:55 Para: Fermín Galán Márquez CC: suse-autoinstall@suse.com Asunto: Re: [suse-autoinstall] Warning message in create_package_descr 8.1 Starting from SuSE 9.0 we ship rpm v4 and all packages are signed, this message can be ignored for older packages.
