Hi, Darrel,
I do have a serial Wacom tablet (Graphire) working under SuSE9.1 on an Athlon XP machine at home.
AthlonXP? That would be a 32bit system, right? Hmmm...
It works fine also with pen. The only problem I had was that the second and third mouse buttons are swapped and I couldn't fix that, so I'm getting used to it.
Oh, that I can help you with. First, get a copy of Frederic Lepied's program "xinput". (I got my copy from ftp://ftp.x.org/contrib/utilities.) Then do this: $ xinput set-button-map WacomStylus0 1 3 2 4 Replace WacomStylus0 with the names you used in your /etc/X11/XF86Config file for the stylus. There's a man page with more details.
