Hi there, The via arena driver is no use. The vt8237 is just a software raid sata controller. I actually get better performance with the inbuilt linux software raid drivers than from the windows raid driver. Suse supports the sata controller which is all you need. Go into the "Bios" of the controll (hit tab when it appears after post). And deslect / don't create any arrays. The drives will show up as hda and hd(b)c Just set partition them as linux raid drives and create the array once this is done... It works great. =-) On Tue, 2004-06-01 at 21:15, Martin Deppisch wrote:
Hi there, im using the onboard Raid-Controller VIA SATA VT8237 on my MSI K8T Motherboard. To have access to the Raid-Controller i need drivers, which i have downloaded at www.viaarena.com. After downloading, i must compile the driver by using "make". Unfortunatly i get this error-message:

Any ideas?? The drivers should work under Suse 9.0 64 Bit
