Hi Josef! Sorry for being late on this, I was a little bit busy and forget to check the email. That say, let me suggest something likely controversial: maybe you can find the inspiration in the web development libraries and/or techniques. Web developers has been facing the UI problems for decades, so they learned to simplify thing by the hard way. I'm sure we can learn something from the web development experience. I have no clears ideas now, but the Elm architecture[1, 2], React (and its design principles)[3, 4], Vue[5] (Or Vue, or whatever) could be a good starting points. Hope it helps. I will come here with other ideas if I find something more :) [1] https://guide.elm-lang.org/architecture/ [2] https://dennisreimann.de/articles/elm-architecture-overview.html [3] https://reactjs.org [4] https://reactjs.org/docs/design-principles.html [5] https://vuejs.org/ On 19/3/20 13:35, josef Reidinger wrote:
Hi, as tomorrow is innovation time, I would like to look to a good UI/widget API. Backend is not important, it can be even for windows UI. Also language is not important, I can get inspiration even from C# :) I mainly want some inspiration what works well and what not and also what is architecture and general ideas. API should be ideally really high level, as I would like to ideally use it for new API we use in YaST in ruby.
Thanks for any tips for libraries or frameworks. Josef
