Hi, in this blog post http://myronmars.to/n/dev-blog/2014/05/notable-changes-in-rspec-3 is summary of changes in new rspec 3.0. I do not think that we will use it for SLE-12 tests, but maybe it will be used for 13.2. In general I think we should not use new syntax now, but what we can do is to not use deprecated syntax as there is already alternatives to prevent future problems. [yast-devel] who is the maintainer?

Hi, while reassigning yast-maintainers bugs I noticed that once again the maintainer/bugowner information is inconsistent: The content of the MAINTAINER file in git differs from the output of 'osc maintainer' or 'osc bugowner'. This leads to confusion. We had this problem before and apparently fail to solve the inconsistency long term. So I propose to drop the MAINTAINER file in git and rely on osc. Instead we can have a AUTHORS files so that people not knowing about osc can still reach the authors. [yast-devel] SLE modules in openSUSE translation tree

Hi everybody! I am one of volunteer translators in opensuse-i18n project. I've just joined this list to clarify one issue with yast translations. As long as I am able to read the archive of this list, SLE YaST and openSUSE YaST do now come from the same master branch. This synchronization has probably lead to the issue in subject. A couple of months ago there was a commit from Lucas with the "latest" *.pot translation templates (which is good and the more often you update them the better) with several new modules, e.g. auth-client, registration, support. I wondered if these modules actually belong to openSUSE distribution or they are needed in SLE only, cause if it is the latter case they should be dropped from openSUSE translations trunk. Hi, maybe some of you still missing old script for tagging git with released version numbers. Or sometimes forgot to update spec file when changing changes file ( like me ). So I propose to add new yast-rake task "release". What it will do: 1) call "osc vc" and stop if user do not specify changes 2) call "rake version:bump" to increase version 3) create git commit with message "release #{version}" 4) tag this commit with version number like "3.1.125" It do not push change. It also require manual "push --tags" as I want to have the very last break, which allows me to check it again before I push it. What do you think about it? Hi, I would like to introduce SLE-12 maintainance branch tomorrow on wednesday 1.10. . I also would like to switch internal jenkins for SLE-12 branch to submit to update repository, so it create maintenance updates instead of submissions to SLE:12:GA. As part of this step I would also like to create merge request of SLE-12-GA branch and master with revert in master for Rakefile change. This will allow us in future to easy do in master `git merge origin/SLE-12-GA` to not forget any fixes made in SLE-12-GA. So to summary changes will be: 1) switch internal jenkins to work on branch SLE-12-GA ( there is currently no clear target for master branch in IBS - so I add new jobs for branch and disable ones for master branch ) 2) create all packages in https://build.suse.de/project/show/Devel:YaST:SLE-12 3) create maintenance branch for all packages + create revert commit in master as described above Any objections? I had an idea for writing tests with much less stubbing (using a virtual system) than I think is worth trying.
