Once feature #301893 is finished, you can pick text-mode YaST interface theme yourself by defining sysconfig variable
Anyway, which variable is it? Could you write some examples how to do that, please?
Sure :-) With yast2-ncurses-2.15.19 or newer, and yast2-2.15.37 or newer there is a sysconfig variable Y2NCURSES_COLOR_THEME in /etc/sysconfig/yast2. This variable enables user to set color theme of text-mode UI independent of current terminal settings. Possible values are: xterm, linux - well-known blue-white-cyan themes rxvt - new yellow-black-red theme mono - black-white-grey monochrome theme braille - contrast cyan-blue theme, optimized for visually impaired users As for the new rxvt theme - please give it a try and report any discrepancies, low contrasts, strange colors, characters, and other ugly things to me, so that I can fine-tune the theme. I certainly cannot check all possible dialogs and widgets myself, as well as I probably might not have picked the right color combination for some purposes. That's why I'd appreciate your help. Also, if you have any ideas for new themes for text-mode, let me know. B. -- \\\ Katarina Machalkova \\\__o YaST developer __\\\'/_ & hedgehog painter
