Matthias, all, I was going to continue trying to figure out why the radeonhd driver blackscreens on my Toshiba laptop with RS690M card so I pulled the latest git tonight to a fresh directory. I also used the advise of using the _b build directory to preserve the source. At the end of ../autogen.sh --prefix=/usr, I received the folllowing dri message: config.status: creating config.h config.status: executing depfiles commands config.status: executing libtool commands NOTE: DRI support is disabled That's probably normal. Then make failed with the following error: 03:25 alchemy:~/apps/radeonhd/_b> make Making all in src git_version.sh: Output is new file, creating git_version.h CC r5xx_accel.o CC r5xx_xaa.o CC r600_shader.o CC radeon_3d.o ../../src/radeon_3d.c: In function ‘R5xx3DSetup’: ../../src/radeon_3d.c:209: error: implicit declaration of function ‘RHDDRIContextClaim’ ../../src/radeon_3d.c:209: warning: nested extern declaration of ‘RHDDRIContextClaim’ make[3]: *** [radeonhd_drv_la-radeon_3d.lo] Error 1 make[2]: *** [all] Error 2 make[1]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1 make: *** [all] Error 2 I thought I would try the CFLAGS=-O0 trick that Egbert provided back in late August, but that didn't work either: 03:28 alchemy:~/apps/radeonhd/_b> make CFLAGS=-O0 Making all in src git_version.sh: Output is unchanged, keeping git_version.h CC radeon_3d.o ../../src/radeon_3d.c: In function ‘R5xx3DSetup’: ../../src/radeon_3d.c:209: error: implicit declaration of function ‘RHDDRIContextClaim’ ../../src/radeon_3d.c:209: warning: nested extern declaration of ‘RHDDRIContextClaim’ make[3]: *** [radeonhd_drv_la-radeon_3d.lo] Error 1 make[2]: *** [all] Error 2 make[1]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1 make: *** [all] Error 2 Err, Umm -- So... What's the trick? Why can't I build the driver on Arch Linux??
