i'm running openSuse 11.2 with two Monitors connected at a Radeon X1300 (RV515). One is connected with HDMI cable and the other with VGA.
So this card has an HDMI port and an VGA port, right? I think i was wrong with my info about the connection: Its a DVI connector, not HDMI. sorry And one old standard VGA connector Does it have a TV output?
Yes, there is a third connector in the middle: a 7 pin mini DIN connector i suppose for S-Video
What's the exact name of the card?
No idea what you mean with exact name. ATI Radeon X1300 is all i know. Here output of lspci: 01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: ATI Technologies Inc RV515 [Radeon X1300] 01:00.1 Display controller: ATI Technologies Inc RV515 [Radeon X1300] (Secondary)
An on the Board there is a label with this "RX13PG2"
(II) RADEONHD(0): Connector[0] {RHD_CONNECTOR_DVI, "DVI-I DFP3 CRT1", RHD_DDC_0, RHD_HPD_NONE /*1*/, { RHD_OUTPUT_LVTMA, RHD_OUTPUT_DACA } } (II) RADEONHD(0): Connector[1] {RHD_CONNECTOR_TV, "SVIDEO TV1", RHD_DDC_NONE, RHD_HPD_NONE, { RHD_OUTPUT_DACB, RHD_OUTPUT_NONE } } (II) RADEONHD(0): Connector[2] {RHD_CONNECTOR_DVI, "DVI-I DFP1 CRT2", RHD_DDC_1, RHD_HPD_NONE /*0*/, { RHD_OUTPUT_TMDSA, RHD_OUTPUT_DACB } }
This table is utterly broken, it assumes two DVI-I outputs, not one DVI-D/HDMI and one VGA. You can be happy that you actually get any output at all :-]
Yes i'm happy about that. With the old fglrx driver (on SUSE 10.3) it has also worked.
(II) RADEONHD(0): Output DVI-I_1/digital connected (II) RADEONHD(0): Output DVI-I_2/analog connected
So correct would be Connector[0] {RHD_CONNECTOR_DVI, "HDMI", RHD_DDC_0, RHD_HPD_1, { RHD_OUTPUT_LVTMA, RHD_OUTPUT_NONE } }
No, i think the current definition "DVI-I DFP3 CRT1" is OK. This connector has made no Problem. it was running from the beginning without any Problems. I think i was wrong with my info about the connection: Its a DVI connector, not HDMI. sorry
Connector[1] {RHD_CONNECTOR_TV, "SVIDEO TV1", RHD_DDC_NONE, RHD_HPD_NONE, { RHD_OUTPUT_DACB, RHD_OUTPUT_NONE } } Connector[2] {RHD_CONNECTOR_VGA, "CRT2", RHD_DDC_1, RHD_HPD_NONE, { RHD_OUTPUT_DACB, RHD_OUTPUT_NONE } }
This could be OK.
