Good morning radeonhd mailinglist,
When I use the latest fglrx or Catalyst driver (9.4), X starts, but I get a blank screen. Xorg.0.log gives me messages like: [...]
(EE) RADEONHD(0): rhdAtomLvdsDDC: unknown record type: b8 (EE) RADEONHD(0): D1CRTCDisable: Failed to Unsync CRTC 1 (EE) RADEONHD(0): rhdAllIdle: unable to stop CRTC: cannot idle MC
Did you run radeonhd right after the catalyst driver (or with the fglrx kernel modules loaded)? In that case please make sure the fglrx modues don't get loaded on boot, reboot and retry with radeonhd.
Cheers, Egbert.
No, I removed everything from fglrx and catalyst before trying radeonhd. I just removed 2GB of ram and radeonhd ver 1.2.5 runs fine now, but I would appreciate radeonhd running with 4GB ram...
