http://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=18714 Summary: Image in PANEL shifted right for external Monitor Product: xorg Version: 7.4 Platform: x86 (IA32) OS/Version: Linux (All) Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Driver/radeonhd AssignedTo: lverhaegen@suse.de ReportedBy: jmxorg@loplof.de QAContact: xorg-team@lists.x.org I'm using a TV-set with a VGA-plug as an external monitor. That monitor has a native resolution of about 13xx x 768. xrandr -q also shows a resolution of 1024 x 768. The panel of my laptop has a native resolution of 1400x1050 but also offers 1024 x 768, so I changed it accordingly (xrandr --output PANEL --mode 1024x768). After that, the TV-monitor still doesn't detect a valid signal. After xrandr --auto, the external monitor shows the complete 1024 x 768, but streched to the full width of the TV-screen. The picture on the panel gets moved to the right by quite a lot of pixels. When I set ooffice presenter to fullscreen, the external tv-monitor stops scaling and shows the picture with correct proportions centered in the middle of the screen with black bars to the left and right. I assume that I see the left black bar on the panel and that the picture gets moved to the right, thus cutting of as many pixels of the real image as the left bar is wide. radeonhd is almost current git (see Xorg.0.log) -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.freedesktop.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the QA contact for the bug. _______________________________________________ xorg-team mailing list xorg-team@lists.x.org http://lists.x.org/mailman/listinfo/xorg-team -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: radeonhd+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: radeonhd+help@opensuse.org
