I am experiencing the problem of radeonhd not being able to detect modes. The problem is similar to the ones described recently in the mail threads: - Signal 11 with ATI Radeon Xpress 1250 on Asus/M2A-VM HDMI motherboard - ASUS A8Jp, Mobility Radeon X1700 - DVI-connected monitor doesn't work The driver outputs "RandR: No valid modes. Disabled." And with the option "NoRandr", the driver still canont detect any modes. It used to work well in v0.0.4 driver, but later broken some where between v0.0.4 and v1.0.0. To be exact, the following commit on git is the last one known to work: Initialize rhdPtr->randr before calling xf86InitialConfiguration(). author Matthias Hopf <mhopf@suse.de> Tue, 27 Nov 2007 16:06:27 +0000 (17:06 +0100) committer Matthias Hopf <mhopf@suse.de> Tue, 27 Nov 2007 16:27:10 +0000 (17:27 +0100) commit 892ca32ee5dae98818539af4ef317fda47ffd921 tree 40fbbc06bc84228f03cb485a55a6352d760958d0 tree parent 7ec6dd8bb0b51fdcb488b232df0ee51999dec718 The next commit will no longer be able to detect modes.
