If you want to work on the branch yourself, better do a

I've tried it on FreeBSD-7,

It starts, and then just exits without any error messages or cores even
with the same config that works for previous version of driver.

How I've built it:

And nothing more, X server does not run also, text consoles are not
switch-able, but I still my switch to another X server (running with
vesa driver).

In attachment there are both logs in case of radeonhd from FreeBSD ports
(that actually works) and from git.

xorg.conf in both cases the same (also attached).

Some hints will be very appreciated
